Prime Video has unveiled a diverse content slate for April 2026, featuring a mix of original series, blockbuster films, international titles and live sports programming aimed at appealing to a wide spectrum of viewers.
The month kicked off with the premiere of ‘The Bondsman’ on April 3, a drama series starring Kevin Bacon. The show follows a bounty hunter navigating a dangerous world of crime while confronting personal demons, blending action with character-driven storytelling.
On April 10, romantic drama ‘The Idea of You’ arrives on the platform, featuring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine. The film centres on a 40-year-old single mother who unexpectedly falls into a relationship with a much younger pop star, exploring themes of love, fame and societal expectations.
The fifth and final season of ‘The Boys’ premieres April 8, featuring Homelander and the main characters in their ultimate confrontation.
‘The House of the Spirits’, an eight-episode family saga based on Isabel Allende’s novel, premieres April 29 on Prime Video.
Prime Video will also stream ‘Red, White & Royal Blue’ during the month, a romantic comedy based on the bestselling novel. Starring Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine, the film follows the evolving relationship between the son of the U.S. President and a British prince, offering a mix of humour, politics and romance.
In the action genre, ‘Road House’ continues to be part of the platform’s featured offerings, with Jake Gyllenhaal playing a former UFC fighter who takes up a job as a bouncer in a Florida Keys bar, only to uncover a violent criminal underworld.
The slate further includes new episodes and returning series across genres, spanning thrillers, comedies and documentaries. Prime Video said the lineup is designed to cater to varied tastes, with both English-language and international programming included.
Sports programming also forms a key part of April’s offerings, with live coverage and sports-related content complementing the entertainment slate, although specific fixtures were not detailed in the statement.
Hosted by Mike ‘The Miz’ Mizanin and Rocsi Diaz, ‘American Gladiators’ returns on April 17 with each episode featuring weekend warriors from across the nation. From classic events like Joust, Powerball, Hang Tough, and The Wall, to high-impact new challenges including The Ring and Collision, every showdown demands pure grit, strategy, and heart. Only one man and one woman will conquer the Arena, claim $100,000, and earn the title of American Gladiator Champion.
Prime Video said the April lineup underscores its continued focus on delivering a broad mix of content, combining original productions with licensed titles and live events to engage audiences across markets.
