Pocket FM has announced a collaboration with bestselling author Ashwin Sanghi for an original mythological audio series, marking his entry into the long-form episodic audio format. Known for his mythological and historical thrillers, Sanghi will bring his storytelling to audio for the first time through an immersive series expected to span nearly 100 episodes and around 25 hours of content, exclusively on the platform.
According to a Pocket FM press release, the collaboration underscores the platform’s creator-first vision as it continues to bring together established authors and emerging storytellers to shape the future of long-form audio entertainment. The move reflects a broader shift in storytelling formats, where audio is emerging as a powerful medium for expansive and episodic narratives.
For decades, storytelling has evolved from books to films and television, and now increasingly into long-form audio. Pocket FM has been building a large creator-led ecosystem that allows writers to develop their own audiences and reach millions of listeners through episodic storytelling. What started as a space for first-time writers has grown into a platform where creators from diverse backgrounds are discovering global reach.
With this collaboration, Ashwin Sanghi is set to explore the long-form audio format for the first time. The upcoming series will focus on a mytho-historic narrative, designed as a binge-worthy listening experience. Known for blending mythology, history, philosophy, science and culture in his works, Sanghi is expected to bring a layered and immersive storytelling approach to the audio medium.
Speaking on the collaboration, Ashwin Sanghi said that storytelling is evolving and audio offers an immersive way to engage audiences by sparking imagination. He noted that writing for an episodic format allows him to explore complex themes across a wider canvas, particularly within the mystery thriller genre.
Vineet Singh, SVP, Brand Marketing and Partnerships at Pocket FM, said the platform is focused on building a creator-first storytelling ecosystem where writers can experiment with formats and tell expansive stories. He added that the presence of a celebrated author like Sanghi highlights how storytelling is evolving, with audio becoming a powerful new canvas for creators.
Pocket FM’s ecosystem has already enabled thousands of writers, including first-time storytellers, to build audiences and successful creative careers. Several audio series on the platform have achieved global reach, demonstrating the growing appeal of long-form audio content beyond traditional formats.
With Ashwin Sanghi joining its growing community of storytellers, Pocket FM continues to expand its content library and strengthen its position as a destination for immersive audio storytelling, bringing together established voices and emerging talent for audiences worldwide.
