WION is set to host the WION World PULSE, a global thought leadership forum in New Delhi, bringing together policymakers, diplomats, business leaders and industry experts to deliberate on the forces shaping the emerging global order. The initiative comes at a time of accelerating geopolitical shifts, rapid technological disruption and evolving economic dynamics worldwide.
Scheduled for March 18, 2026, at ITC Maurya, the forum will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions and curated roundtables aimed at translating complex global developments into informed dialogue and forward-looking perspectives, the channel said in a press release.
The event is expected to see participation from key political leaders including Nitin Gadkari, Pralhad Joshi, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and C. R. Patil, alongside prominent international voices such as Erik Solheim and Namal Rajapaksa. Ambassadors and High Commissioners from countries including Germany, Italy, Singapore and Sri Lanka are also expected to share their perspectives.
Commenting on the initiative, Raktim Das, CEO of Zee Media Corporation Limited, said that in a time marked by geopolitical churn—from conflicts in West Asia to debates around AI and digital sovereignty—the need for credible, globally aware journalism has become more critical than ever. He noted that as WION completes a decade of reporting on global affairs from an Indian lens, the World PULSE forum aims to foster meaningful conversations around geopolitics, technology and trade.
Rabin Sharma, Managing Editor of WION, added that the platform builds on the network’s focus on analysing international developments through diverse perspectives. He emphasised that the forum will create a space for policymakers, diplomats and industry leaders to engage in conversations that not only interpret current global trends but also anticipate future shifts.
Structured around seven key pillars—power, technology, economy, defence, planet, healthcare and mobility—the forum aims to drive discussions on some of the most pressing global issues. With global broadcast reach and digital amplification across WION and Zee Media’s domestic and international network, the initiative is expected to emerge as a significant platform for informed dialogue and diverse global perspectives.
As global systems continue to evolve, WION World PULSE seeks to position itself as a key convening platform that brings together influential voices to examine how geopolitical, technological and economic forces are converging to shape the future.
