ZEE TV recently celebrated the spirit of togetherness and community through the Zee Kutumb Awards 2026, an event that honoured the deep connection between the channel’s stories and its viewers across India. The awards ceremony, to be aired on Zee TV shortly, highlighted the importance of family values, traditions and relationships that continue to define Indian society.
According to a press release, the event, held on March 7, also comes at a time when ZEE TV has emerged as one of the fastest-growing channels in the Hindi general entertainment category. The channel has recorded an impressive 51 percent growth between March 2025 and March 2026 and has remained the number one channel in core prime time for five consecutive months.
The Zee Kutumb Awards were organised to celebrate aspirational India—an India that believes in the power of dreams and the determination to achieve them. Through its storytelling, ZEE TV continues to portray characters who reflect the evolving outlook and self-belief of audiences across the country.
The evening brought together the stars of some of ZEE TV’s popular shows including ‘Tumm Se Tumm Tak’, ‘Saru’, ‘Vasudha’, ‘Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan’, ‘Jagadhatri’, ‘Lakshmi Niwas’ and ‘Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile’. The red carpet saw actors arriving not just as celebrities but as members of one large “Kutumb”, reflecting the theme of the evening.
Actor Sharad Kelkar, who plays Arya in ‘Tumm Se Tumm Tak’, opened the grand stage of the awards ceremony. The red carpet also witnessed a glamorous display of traditional and contemporary fashion. Niharika Chouksey appeared in a pink embroidered Anarkali, while Priya Thakur looked elegant in a blue sequinned lehenga alongside Abhishek Sharma, who wore a navy embroidered bandhgala. Sheezan Khan chose a peach sherwani, while Amandeep Sidhu wore a bright orange embellished Anarkali-style lehenga.
Beyond the glamour and performances, the Zee Kutumb Awards served as a celebration of the values that continue to bind Indian families and communities. In a rapidly changing world where traditional customs are evolving and communities are becoming more dispersed, the event highlighted the enduring importance of parampara, parivaar and the warmth of neighbourly bonds.
