Zee Kannada is set to introduce a new fiction drama titled ‘Krishna Rukku’, a story built around love, revenge and the unpredictable play of destiny. The show will premiere on March 9 at 6.30 pm on Zee Kannada and will also be available on the streaming platform ZEE5 for Kannada audiences.
The series brings together elements of family values, responsibility and emotional conflict, presenting the journey of Rukku, a young woman who finds herself carrying the weight of her family after the untimely demise of her elder brother. As she steps into this difficult role, the narrative explores how her life becomes intertwined with Krishna’s, shaping a story filled with moments of love, resentment and fate. The evolving relationship between the two characters forms the emotional core of the show, while the unfolding events reveal how destiny influences their lives.
Actor Mouna Guddemane takes on the role of Rukku, portraying a strong yet vulnerable character navigating family responsibilities and personal struggles. Opposite her, Akshay Nayak plays Krishna, whose presence adds another dimension to the story’s emotional and dramatic arc.
Adding depth to the ensemble cast is filmmaker, producer, writer and actor S Narayan, who appears in the show as Surya Prakash. The series also marks the return of actress Suchitra to Kannada television after several years, making the project notable for fans of regional entertainment. The cast further includes singer Naveen Sajju and several other performers who contribute to the show’s layered storytelling.
Produced by Dileep Raj and Srividya under the banner of Dhriti Creations, ‘Krishna Rukku’ aims to deliver engaging drama with emotionally resonant performances.

He noted that ‘Krishna Rukku’ offers a heartfelt narrative centred on love, responsibility and destiny, adding that the layered characters and engaging storytelling are expected to strike a chord with audiences while further strengthening the channel’s programming lineup.
