This Holi, ZEE5 has unveiled the first look of its upcoming psychological thriller ‘Dalimb’, marking its maiden collaboration with Ellipsis Entertainment. Positioned as a layered thriller-drama, the film promises to explore themes of memory, truth, love, loss, reality, and illusion through an emotionally charged narrative.
Set in suburban middle-class Mumbai, ‘Dalimb’ is slated for release later this year and is being pitched as an immersive cinematic experience tailored for streaming audiences. The first look hints at a tense, unsettling story marked by fractured perceptions and emotional volatility, signalling one of the platform’s key Hindi offerings for 2026.
The film features Jitendra Kumar in a lead role alongside Priya Bapat, Kshitish Date, Kavin Dave, Sai Prasad, Harish Kulkarni and Sagar Yadav in pivotal roles. The project has been written and directed by debutant filmmaker Priya Aven, with dialogues by Varad Bhatnagar and additional dialogues by Tanuj Garg.
Kaveri Das, Business Head – Hindi at ZEE5 and Chief Channel Officer & TV, ZEE5, described Dalimb as part of the platform’s strategic push to strengthen its Direct-to-Digital (D2D) ecosystem. She said the psychological drama delves into the fragile intersections of memory, guilt and human relationships through layered characters and emotionally resonant storytelling. According to her, the film is a key addition to ZEE5’s commissioned streaming-first slate, designed to expand its premium Hindi D2D pipeline with distinctive, culturally rooted narratives created exclusively for digital audiences.
Writer-director Priya Aven called the film deeply personal, revealing that much of its emotional texture draws from events and realities she has witnessed first-hand. She described Dalimb as a pacy, engaging and unsettling thriller with a powerful emotional core that aims to shock and move viewers in equal measure. Speaking about her collaboration with Tanuj Garg and the Ellipsis team, she said she felt confident placing her debut feature in “capable and passionate hands,” adding that the association with Ellipsis and ZEE5 has been deeply gratifying.
Producer and Partner at Ellipsis Entertainment, Tanuj Garg, said the film felt urgent and distinctive from its inception. In keeping with Ellipsis’ philosophy of backing bold and unconventional content, he noted that the team supported ‘Dalimb’ from the moment they heard the concept. He highlighted the year-long collaborative process of refining the script to achieve a balance between creative ambition and emotional depth, and expressed satisfaction with the partnership with Hindi ZEE5, whose team, he said, shared their vision for a high-drama cinematic experience.
With its first look now unveiled, ‘Dalimb’ positions itself as a psychologically intense addition to ZEE5’s expanding digital slate, setting the stage for a thriller that promises both emotional depth and narrative intrigue.
