India’s Bhooshan’s Junior has entered into a strategic international co-production partnership with Animae Caribe House to jointly produce new seasons of the animated preschool series ‘Adventures of Louie & Douie’, marking a significant step in building the show into a global kids’ entertainment franchise.
According to a press release, the collaboration brings together the India-based digital-first kids’ entertainment company and the Trinidad and Tobago-based animation studio to co-produce and co-invest in 52 new episodes of the series, with each episode running approximately seven minutes. The initiative reflects a long-term vision to scale ‘Adventures of Louie & Douie’ into a globally recognised preschool franchise through cross-continental creative collaboration.
The animated series, originally created by Bhooshan’s Junior, is designed as a character-driven preschool IP centred on humour, warmth and everyday childhood experiences. The first season launched on YouTube on December 12, 2025, premiering in English for global audiences and in Hindi for Indian viewers. The upcoming seasons aim to expand the narrative universe while maintaining a focus on emotional connection, values-based storytelling and strong engagement among young audiences.
The partnership highlights a broader shift within the animation ecosystem, with studios increasingly moving beyond service-led production models to develop original intellectual properties with long-term franchise potential. By combining India’s growing animation capabilities with Caribbean creative expertise, the collaboration seeks to deliver culturally rooted yet universally relatable storytelling for global audiences.
Sarath Bhooshan, Chief Executive Officer of Bhooshan’s Junior, described the initiative as part of the company’s “franchise-first” strategy to create world-class children’s IPs from India that can scale across platforms and markets. He noted that ‘Adventures of Louie & Douie’ forms a key pillar of the company’s global vision, and the partnership with Animae Caribe House will help strengthen the creative and production framework required to expand the franchise internationally.
Camille Selvon, Chief Executive Officer of Animae Caribe House, emphasised the cultural synergy behind the collaboration, noting that the Caribbean’s tradition as a melting pot of cultures aligns with the series’ vision of blending diverse storytelling influences. She added that the partnership would help build a broader creative ecosystem and open opportunities for future collaborative projects.
The alliance also underscores the growing importance of South-South partnerships in the global animation sector, connecting emerging studios, diverse creative traditions and internationally competitive production pipelines. The initiative aims to establish a strong creative bridge between India and the Caribbean while supporting the development of globally scalable original content.
Production on the new seasons of ‘Adventures of Louie & Douie’ is currently underway, with rollout scheduled progressively across 2026. The project is expected to contribute to expanding India’s footprint in the global animation industry while promoting cross-cultural storytelling and digital-first content distribution.
Bhooshan’s Junior, led by founder and CEO Sarath Bhooshan, focuses on building character-led entertainment universes for children aged two to fourteen, with expansion across games, music, publishing and merchandise. Animae Caribe House, based in Port of Spain, is known for its work in animation production, training and international collaboration, supporting culturally driven original content for global markets.
