The Lucknow Super Giants have introduced a new team logo, marking what the franchise describes as a refreshed identity that reflects the spirit of the city, the state, and the loyal fan base that has supported the team since its inception. The redesigned emblem brings together symbolic elements that represent courage, pride, strength and unity, aligning the franchise’s vision with the cultural ethos of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh.
According to a press release, the new emblem combines three powerful symbols — Garuda, the Crown and the Elephant — each rooted in regional culture and values, forming what the franchise calls a deeply personal representation of its identity and connection with fans.
Garuda in the logo symbolises courage and resilience, representing the team’s fearless approach to cricket and its determination to take on challenges. It reflects the belief that collective effort can help the team rise above obstacles and pursue ambitious goals. The Crown, meanwhile, represents pride and responsibility, reminding players that stepping onto the field carries the hopes and expectations of millions of supporters and that wearing the team’s jersey is an honour to be earned consistently.
At the centre of the emblem stands the Elephant, symbolising strength, wisdom, patience and unity. The franchise said the symbol reflects the unwavering support of its fans and the enduring loyalty that continues regardless of match results, reinforcing a sense of long-term commitment between the team and its followers.
The franchise described the new identity as more than a design change, calling it a shared symbol of belonging that resonates with families, young fans and communities connected to the team. The emblem, it added, represents history, pride and the promise of a stronger future built on collective aspiration.
Sharing his thoughts, Shashwat Goenka, owner of the team and Vice Chairman of RPSG Group, said the logo carries strong emotional value for the franchise and its supporters. He noted that the people of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh embraced the team from the beginning and described the symbol as a tribute to their trust and belief. He added that the Garuda reflects the team’s aspiration to rise higher, the Crown represents the pride placed in the franchise by its supporters, and the Elephant symbolises the region’s strength and loyalty.
Goenka further said the new identity represents a promise by the franchise to honour its roots, respect the city it represents and compete with dedication, adding that every performance on the field would carry the emotions of its fans.
The new logo will now appear across team jerseys, merchandise, digital platforms and official branding, signalling the beginning of a new chapter for the franchise as it looks to strengthen its bond with supporters and build on its journey in the seasons ahead.
