Invideo, Google Cloud to bring AI to long-form filmmaking

Invideo yesterday announced an expanded partnership with Google Cloud to introduce enterprise-grade filmmaking production pipelines designed for the global media and entertainment industry. The collaboration aims to integrate advanced artificial intelligence capabilities into long-form content creation, enabling studios and production houses to produce studio-quality films with greater efficiency and creative flexibility.

According to a ANI report, the partnership combines Invideo’s creative interface with Google Cloud’s AI infrastructure and generative media models, offering media studios, broadcast networks and production houses the technical capability to manage complex cinematic workflows. The initiative focuses on streamlining multiple stages of filmmaking, from text-to-image generation and cinematic video creation to synchronised music and speech within a unified production environment.

Announced in New Delhi, the collaboration leverages Google’s generative media models available on its AI platforms to orchestrate the entire production process. The partnership also uses Google Cloud’s AI Hypercomputer architecture, which integrates performance-optimised processing units to train custom AI models. This infrastructure enables visual consistency across complex narratives, moving beyond the short-form content that currently dominates the AI-driven media space.

Sanket Shah, CEO and Co-founder of Invideo, said the company is focused on building tools that support storytellers and redefine filmmaking workflows. He noted that the platform already serves millions of creators globally and is now working to create end-to-end AI pipelines that empower filmmakers creatively while ensuring economic viability for the industry.

The technology allows filmmakers to generate 4K cinematic dailies using natural language prompts, enabling directors to experiment with elements such as lighting, pacing and scene composition in real time. It also features intelligent scene analysis tools designed to maintain narrative continuity across large-scale productions.

In addition, the system includes audio capabilities such as synchronised stereo music generation and multilingual speech synthesis, allowing production teams to localise dialogue without affecting performance timing.

Sashi Sreedharan, Managing Director of Google Cloud India, said artificial intelligence is opening new possibilities for filmmaking by enabling creators to bring ideas to life that were previously difficult to execute. He added that the collaboration aims to reduce technical barriers and help studios reimagine cinematic storytelling.

To ensure transparency and authenticity, the framework includes watermarking technology that embeds imperceptible markers in AI-generated content. The partnership will be showcased at the India AI Film Festival on February 17 at Qutub Minar in New Delhi, where Invideo is also expected to announce three feature films developed in collaboration with major Indian production houses using the new AI-powered production systems.
