Streaming platform JioHotstar yesterday announced its upcoming original series ‘Sangamarmar’, a heartfelt family drama from filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s banner Rajshri Productions, marking the production house’s latest venture into the digital space.
According to a PTI report, the series is described as a moving drama rooted in the emotional fabric of Indian families, exploring themes of love, responsibility and the quiet strength that sustains relationships over time. The show is expected to stream soon on JioHotstar, though the platform is yet to announce an official release date.
Known for its legacy of delivering family-centric stories, Rajshri Productions has built a strong reputation through films that celebrate values, traditions and interpersonal bonds. With ‘Sangamarmar’, the banner appears to carry forward its signature storytelling style, focusing on emotional depth and the dynamics that shape family relationships in contemporary settings.
The series is presented by Jio Studios and produced by Jyoti Deshpande, while Vikram Ghai has directed the project. The makers say the show will offer an intimate portrayal of relationships and the emotional ties that bind individuals across generations.
The announcement adds to JioHotstar’s growing slate of original content as streaming platforms continue to expand their focus on culturally rooted narratives designed to connect with Indian audiences.
