Music streaming platform JioSaavn on Wednesday announced the winners of the second edition of the India Superhits Awards, recognising the most-streamed songs and artists that shaped India’s listening habits over the past year. The awards reflect audience preferences based entirely on streaming and engagement data recorded on the platform between January 1 and December 31, 2025.

According to an ANI report, the winners were selected purely on the basis of listener data, without any jury involvement, making the honours a direct reflection of audience choice. The India Superhits Awards covered 10 languages — Hindi, English, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bhojpuri, Marathi, and Bengali — with winners across five categories in each language, including Most Streamed Song, Most Streamed Female Artist, Most Streamed Male Artist, Most Streamed Lyricist, and Most Streamed Composer.

In the Hindi music category, the track ‘Saiyaara,’ starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Patta, emerged as the most-streamed song, dominating the charts throughout the year. Popular singers Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal once again featured among the most-streamed artists, reaffirming their consistent appeal among listeners.

Director Mohit Suri, who won the ‘Song of the Year’ in Hindi for ‘Saiyaara,’ said he faced immense pressure to live up to expectations while working on the project. He noted that his aim was to ensure the music connected deeply with audiences. Composer Tanishk Bagchi and lyricist Irshad Kamil also secured the top positions in their respective categories, further highlighting the track’s widespread popularity.

Shreya Ghoshal, who was named the Most Streamed Female Artist in both Hindi and Bengali categories, expressed her happiness at receiving the honour. She said the recognition was special as it reflected the love and support of her fans across the country.

Regional music also made a strong impact, with Bhojpuri and Marathi songs such as ‘Dilwa Le Ja Rumaal Me’ and ‘Shaky’ witnessing heavy streaming. Artists including Pawan Singh, Shilpi Raj and Sanju Rathod remained highly popular among listeners throughout the year.

The influence of southern music continued to expand nationwide, with singers like Sid Sriram and composers such as Jakes Bejoy achieving significant reach across regions. In Bengali music, Anupam Roy once again dominated both the lyricist and composer categories, maintaining his strong presence on the platform.

The awards showcased the growing diversity of India’s music landscape, highlighting the rising influence of regional and multilingual content while underlining the enduring popularity of established artists across genres.
