After a highly successful theatrical run this Sankranthi, the Telugu blockbuster ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’ is set to make its digital premiere on ZEE5 from February 11.
The platform has secured the exclusive digital rights of the Chiranjeevi–Nayanthara starrer, which emerged as one of the biggest box office successes of the festive season.
As stated in a press release, ZEE5 had earlier announced during its Sankranthi campaign that the film would stream across all available languages on the platform. This move is expected to significantly expand the film’s reach among Telugu-speaking audiences as well as the wider South Asian diaspora worldwide.
Written and directed by Anil Ravipudi, ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’ features Megastar Chiranjeevi in a powerful yet warm-hearted role, alongside Venkatesh Daggubati, Nayanthara and Catherine Tresa.
The film blends action, humour, emotion and family drama, centring on the journey of a national security officer who is compelled to protect his estranged family while rediscovering love, responsibility and redemption. Its strong emotional core, combined with large-scale entertainment, struck a chord with audiences during its theatrical run.
Speaking about the digital premiere, Chiranjeevi said the film celebrates family, relationships and resilience, all wrapped in entertainment. He added that the overwhelming response in theatres made the journey special and expressed happiness that ZEE5 would now take the film to viewers across countries and languages, allowing it to become part of homes beyond cinema halls.
Nayanthara described the film as having a beautiful emotional base complemented by humour and action. She said the balance made the story stand out and called her experience of working with Chiranjeevi and the team memorable. She added that she was excited for audiences who missed the theatrical release to now experience the film on ZEE5.
Venkatesh Daggubati said the film’s strength lies in how it combines grand entertainment with heartfelt relationships. Calling his collaboration with Chiranjeevi a special experience, he noted that the multi-language release on ZEE5 would allow families across the world to enjoy the film together.
Director Anil Ravipudi said ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’ was conceived as a complete family entertainer rooted in emotion, laughter and thrilling moments. He added that the strong theatrical response has set the stage for an even deeper connection with audiences on OTT, especially with the film streaming across markets and cultures.
The film will stream exclusively on ZEE5 from February 11 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi and Bengali, offering viewers another chance to relive its blockbuster appeal from the comfort of their homes.
