KRAFTON India has unveiled an industry-first initiative called BGMI Career Mode, aimed at translating in-game behaviour from Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) into meaningful, real-life and career-relevant skill insights. The new feature seeks to help gamers, students and working professionals better understand their cognitive abilities, soft skills and personality traits through their gameplay, positioning gaming as more than just entertainment.
As per an ANI report, the exploratory initiative combines structured psychometric frameworks with gameplay analytics to generate a personalised Career Mode report for players. Developed in partnership with Aeos Group and Leo Burnett India, the programme is designed to complement resumes, LinkedIn profiles and personal development journeys by offering a structured reflection of skills that naturally emerge during gameplay.
BGMI Career Mode analyses attributes commonly demonstrated in competitive gaming environments, such as problem-solving, adaptability, teamwork, leadership and decision-making under pressure. These are organised across three broad categories — Core Skills, Adaptive Skills and Additional Attributes — providing players with a clearer, more holistic view of their strengths and behavioural patterns.
Commenting on the launch, Srinjoy Das, Associate Director – Product and Marketing, KRAFTON India, said gaming has become a significant part of youth culture where real behaviours and skills surface organically.
He described BGMI Career Mode as a humble attempt to translate moments of play into credible, structured insights that help players reflect on their cognitive strengths, soft skills and areas for growth, beyond traditional classroom or workplace settings.
The initiative works through a dual-input model. Players first complete a guided psychometric assessment to capture personality indicators, behavioural preferences and work-style tendencies. This is then combined with an analysis of in-game behaviour, observing decision-making patterns during competitive play, including strategic thinking, composure under pressure, collaboration and attention to detail. Together, these inputs are synthesised into a detailed Career Mode report.
