Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited has appointed Aparna Ramachandran as Executive Vice President and Head of Network Digital, underlining the company’s renewed focus on strengthening its digital and streaming ecosystem across platforms.
Ramachandran joins Zee from Balaji Telefilms, where she was serving as Head of Digital Originals and was responsible for driving content strategy and overseeing the creation of original programming for the company’s digital offerings. She announced her move on LinkedIn, calling it the beginning of a new chapter in a career that spans over 15 years across media, entertainment and technology.
Over the years, Ramachandran has held senior leadership roles at several leading organisations, including Viacom18 Media, Viu, FremantleMedia, Miditech, BigSynergy, BBC Worldwide, CNBC-TV18 and Bloomberg UTV. Her diverse professional journey reflects deep experience across broadcast television, streaming media and digital-first content businesses.
Interestingly, she began her career in 2005 as a software engineer at Infosys, before transitioning into the media and entertainment industry, where she steadily built expertise in digital strategy, content development, project management and video production.
At Zee, Ramachandran is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the network’s digital roadmap, driving content innovation and accelerating growth across its digital and streaming platforms, as the broadcaster looks to strengthen its position in an increasingly competitive digital entertainment landscape.
