American tech company Apple announced the two new features in Apple Music which bring the industry-leading sound quality to their users.
The company will roll out lossless audio as well as spatial audio with support for Dolby Atmos on Apple Music.
Apple announced the update through a recent blog post, where they mentioning that the two new features will be available to Apple Music subscribers at no additional cost.
Lossless audio is a higher quality audio format that preserves every detail of the original audio file without compressing the quality while streaming.
Whereas, Dolby Atmos Music is a 3D audio format that promises an “immersive” listening experience with a different from traditional stereo music.
The two news features Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos will be available in June for Apple Music subscribers.
Apple Music will play Dolby Atmos tracks on all AirPods and Beats headphones with an H1 or W1 chip by default.
The same will hold for the built-in speakers in the latest versions of iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
