Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has elevated Akshay Agrawal as Head – Linear Ad Sales, entrusting him with the mandate to drive revenue growth, deepen advertiser partnerships and deliver high-impact, insight-led solutions for brands across the network’s linear portfolio. In his new role, Agrawal will report to Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer and Business Head, Sports and International, SPNI.
According to an SPNI press release, the elevation recognises Agrawal’s long-standing contribution to the organisation and his deep understanding of the evolving advertising ecosystem. With over 22 years at SPNI, he brings extensive experience across the media and entertainment landscape, along with a track record of building scalable businesses in challenging market conditions.
Over the years, Agrawal has led and monetised several high-value portfolios spanning sports, movies, free-to-air channels and mainline Hindi general entertainment channels. His approach, widely regarded as solution-first, has focused on aligning advertiser objectives with customised, outcome-driven partnerships that deliver measurable business impact.
In an increasingly complex advertising environment, Agrawal has played a key role in repositioning linear television as a powerful medium for brand building and growth. Through innovative partnerships, storytelling-led solutions and close client collaboration, he has consistently helped advertisers unlock value while strengthening long-term relationships.
