Television producer Ektaa Kapoor revisited some cherished memories as her iconic show ‘Kasamh Se’ completed 20 years since its first telecast. The popular daily soap, which went on air on Zee TV on January 16, 2006, remains one of the most loved family dramas of Indian television, continuing to evoke nostalgia among viewers even two decades later.
According to an IANS report, Ektaa marked the milestone by sharing a video compilation of memorable moments from ‘Kasamh Se’ on her official Instagram handle. The montage featured several iconic scenes from the show that made it a household name in the mid-2000s.
Alongside the video, the producer penned a simple yet emotional caption on January 15, “20 years million memories ! Kasam Se,” reflecting the enduring bond audiences continue to share with the series.
Produced under Kapoor’s banner Balaji Telefilms, ‘Kasamh Se’ revolved around the lives of three sisters —Bani, Piya and Rano — played by Prachi Desai, Roshni Chopra (later Manasi Varma) and Arunima Sharma (later Pallavi Purohit). The show also starred Ram Kapoor in the lead role and became widely known for its intense storytelling, emotional drama and strong performances, which helped redefine prime-time television during its run.
The series featured a strong supporting cast including Sudha Shivpuri, Jaya Bhattacharya, Gurdeep Kohli, Ashwini Kalsekar and Vivian Dsena. ‘Kasamh Se’ enjoyed a successful run of over three years before going off air on March 12, 2009, cementing its place as one of Balaji Telefilms’ most memorable productions.
Meanwhile, Kapoor has also been ringing in 2026 on a relaxed note. The producer recently travelled to Darjeeling with television actress Urvashi Dholakia. Urvashi shared glimpses from their mountain getaway on Instagram, posting videos and pictures with Ektaa and close friends against a serene, scenic backdrop. Captioning one of the posts, Urvashi wrote, “Pure Hearts..Open skies..Quiet joy love love love,” capturing the mood of the trip.
