Times Now Navbharat, the Hindi news channel of Times Network, has expanded its prime-time line-up with the launch of ‘Chakra View – with Sumit Awasthi’, a new show anchored by senior journalist Sumit Awasthi.
The programme airs Monday to Friday at 6.57 pm and aims to bring sharper, fact-based news analysis to a competitive prime-time space dominated by loud debates and fragmented narratives.
According to a press release issued by the network, ‘Chakra View’ has been conceptualised as a clarity-driven format that moves beyond surface-level reactions to deliver deeper analysis and solution-oriented discussions. The show seeks to offer viewers a 360-degree perspective on major developments, focusing on the ‘why’ behind the headlines while adding context, accountability and depth to issues shaping national discourse.
The programme covers a broad spectrum of key national and geopolitical stories, supported by advanced graphics and alpha-led visuals to enhance viewer understanding. A strong emphasis has also been placed on people-first journalism, with dedicated segments spotlighting youth issues, citizen-centric concerns and stories emerging from digital platforms, all filtered through a rigorous fact-checking process before being brought to air.
In a distinctive audience-led approach, ‘Chakra View’ allows viewers to participate in shaping the editorial agenda by choosing topics they want examined in greater detail. This interactive format is designed to keep the show responsive to public interest and evolving conversations. In the run-up to the launch, Times Now Navbharat also rolled out extensive digital-led initiatives to build anticipation and engage audiences across platforms.
Commenting on the launch, Ashish Sehgal, CEO – Times Television Network and Chief Growth Officer – Media & Entertainment, said that news carries a responsibility far greater than entertainment as it actively shapes public opinion and future narratives. He underlined that accuracy, accountability and balance are critical in news delivery, noting that Chakra View reflects this philosophy by going beyond headlines to provide credible, meaningful analysis in prime time.
