The makers of the upcoming action-thriller ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups ‘have unveiled the first look of Huma Qureshi, introducing her character Elizabeth through a striking new poster.
The film, which stars Yash in the lead, marks his much-anticipated return to the big screen after the blockbuster ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ and has already generated strong buzz among fans.
According to a UNI report, the poster was shared by the film’s team on Instagram and features Huma Qureshi standing in a graveyard surrounded by old tombstones and stone sculptures. Dressed in an elegant black outfit and positioned beside a vintage black car, the actress appears poised yet intense, suggesting a character that is calm, powerful and layered. The visual tone of the poster adds to the dark, atmospheric world the film promises to explore.
Director Geetu Mohandas described casting Huma Qureshi as one of the most challenging decisions during the film’s development. Speaking about her selection, Mohandas said the character required a performer with strong screen presence and emotional depth. She noted that from the moment Huma stepped into the frame, her natural sophistication and intensity brought the character of Elizabeth to life, making her the perfect fit for the role.
‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ is being shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in multiple Indian languages to reach a wider audience. The film is co-written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
The project boasts a strong technical team, with Rajeev Ravi handling cinematography, Ravi Basrur composing the music, and Ujwal Kulkarni overseeing editing. With its blend of action, style and strong character-driven storytelling, the film is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious releases in the coming years.
‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the festive weekend of Eid, Ugadi and Gudi Padwa, adding to expectations of a major box office opening.
