Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL) has officially stepped into the kids entertainment genre with the launch of KidZ, a new offering on its digital platform ZEE5, starting November 24, The Economic Times reported yesterday
The service is designed to deliver engaging, safe and enriching content that both educates and entertains young viewers, strengthening the platform’s family-oriented content strategy.
Through a dedicated profile available across devices, ‘KidZ’ will offer access to more than 140 titles in multiple languages, with fresh content releasing every Friday.
The ET report quoted Chandan Khandelwal, Business Head – Kids Division, ZEE5 India & Global, as saying that KidZ aims to become more than just a screen-based experience, with the target also being a gamut of fresh originals that will be offered in future.
The initiative also aligns with ZEEL’s long-term strategy outlined in its May 2025 investor presentation, where the company identified kids entertainment as a high-potential, value-accretive segment, the ET report added.
