Prime Video has officially announced the release date and unveiled the teaser trailer for the highly anticipated second season of ‘The Night Manager’, the critically acclaimed espionage drama that captivated audiences worldwide.
The first three episodes of Season Two will premiere on Sunday, January 11, 2026, with one new episode releasing every Sunday until the grand finale on February 1, 2026. All six episodes will stream exclusively on Prime Video in all regions except the UK, where it will air on BBC and BBC iPlayer.
According to a Prime Video press release, the series returns eight years after its explosive Season One finale that earned multiple Emmy, Golden Globe, and BAFTA Awards. The new season sees Tom Hiddleston reprising his Golden Globe-winning role as former British intelligence operative Jonathan Pine — now living under a new identity as Alex Goodwin. Hiddleston, who also serves as an executive producer, embarks on a new mission that leads him into a deadly conspiracy threatening to destabilize a nation.
Season Two of ‘The Night Manager’ features an impressive ensemble cast. Academy Award winner Olivia Colman returns as Angela Burr, her BAFTA-winning role from the first season. Joining the cast are Golden Globe nominee Diego Calva (Babylon, Narcos: Mexico) as Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos, and Emmy nominee Camila Morrone (Daisy Jones & The Six) as Roxana Bolaños, a businesswoman who reluctantly becomes Pine’s ally. The cast also includes Indira Varma, Paul Chahidi, and Hayley Squires, alongside returning Season One stars Alistair Petrie, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone, and Noah Jupe.
Based on the iconic characters created by John le Carré, the new season is written and executive produced by David Farr and directed entirely by BAFTA winner Georgi Banks-Davies (I Hate Suzie, Paper Girls). The series is produced by The Ink Factory, the award-winning London and Los Angeles-based studio behind ‘The Little Drummer Girl’ and ‘The Pigeon Tunnel’, in association with Character 7, Demarest Films, and 127 Wall, with co-production support from Spanish collaborator Nostromo Pictures.
The creative team includes Stephen Garrett from Character 7 as lead executive producer, along with Simon and Stephen Cornwell, Michele Wolkoff, and Tessa Inkelaar for The Ink Factory. Other executive producers include Joe Tsai, Arthur Wang, Adrián Guerra, Georgi Banks-Davies, Hugh Laurie, and Tom Hiddleston himself, among others, representing a powerhouse collaboration between British and international production partners.
Season Two picks up with Jonathan Pine living quietly as Alex Goodwin, a low-level MI6 officer running a surveillance unit in London. His peaceful life unravels when he spots an old associate from Richard Roper’s mercenary network, triggering a chain of events that drags him back into the murky world of espionage. Pine’s pursuit leads him to Teddy Dos Santos, a Colombian businessman involved in arms trafficking. As Pine infiltrates Teddy’s operation, he encounters Roxana Bolaños, a woman caught between ambition and survival. Together, they uncover a violent conspiracy that threatens to plunge an entire nation into chaos.
With betrayal at every turn, Pine must navigate shifting loyalties and dangerous alliances as he races against time to expose the truth — a journey that tests his limits and forces him to confront his past once again.
Blending the sophistication of le Carré’s storytelling with cinematic scale and high-stakes intrigue, ‘The Night Manager’ S2 promises to deliver another gripping chapter in one of television’s most acclaimed spy thrillers.
