After making an impressive transition to the big screen with her Punjabi debut ‘Shaunki Sardar’ opposite singer-actor Guru Randhawa earlier this year, popular television actor Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia is all set to explore the digital space.
The actress, known for her roles in ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ and reality shows like Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi, is reportedly gearing up for her OTT debut in a Hindi web series.
According to an IANS report, Nimrit began shooting for the project last month in Mumbai, and the production is currently underway. While the makers are keeping the finer details under wraps, the upcoming series is said to be a character-driven drama with an element of mystery woven into its storyline. The project aims to present a new dimension of Nimrit’s acting abilities, marking a significant step in her artistic journey.
A source close to the development revealed, “Nimrit has been quite selective about her next move after her Punjabi debut, and she was keen on doing something fresh in the digital space. The project she is currently shooting for is a strong, performance-oriented web series that will allow her to display her versatility. The makers are maintaining secrecy around the concept for now, but this one is expected to mark her impressive entry into the OTT world.”
With this upcoming mystery drama, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia seems ready to broaden her creative horizons beyond television and films. Her foray into the OTT arena adds yet another layer to her growing repertoire, promising audiences a compelling performance in a genre that blends realism with intrigue.
