DocuBay, the documentary streaming platform from IN10 Media Network, has expanded the reach of its latest original documentary, ‘Dirty Entertainers: The Business of Indian Erotica’, with a multilingual release in English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. The documentary, directed by Heena Dsouza and produced by HumaraMovie, originally premiered on DocuBay on October 10.
According to a DocuBay press release, the film offers a candid and unfiltered exploration of India’s underground erotica industry, an ecosystem often hidden from mainstream view due to censorship and social stigma. Through intimate interviews with creators and performers such as Shakespeare Tripathy, Maya Jafar and Rajsi Verma, the documentary delves into the challenges faced by those navigating content regulations, survival, and societal judgment.
By making the documentary available in multiple languages, DocuBay aims to broaden access and engage diverse audiences across India. The platform’s multilingual strategy reflects its mission to present culturally resonant, real-world stories to viewers in a format they can relate to, making complex and bold narratives more inclusive and accessible.
‘Dirty Entertainers’ not only sheds light on the business side of the industry but also highlights the human stories behind the performers, offering a nuanced perspective on a segment often shrouded in secrecy. The release reinforces DocuBay’s commitment to creating global narratives that resonate with audiences across regions and languages.
