Zee TV has rolled out ‘Apnotsav’ — a month-long celebration that turns the season of Karwa Chauth, Dhanteras, Diwali, and Bhai Dooj into a festival of stories, togetherness, and apnapan beyond the screen.
Staying true to its refreshed identity, ‘Aapka Apna Zee TV’, the channel aims to create a unified experience of joy through drama, laughter, and shared traditions across on-air, on-ground, and social platforms.
For over three decades, Zee TV has been synonymous with festive programming, known for creating destination properties that bring families together. With Apnotsav, the channel once again transforms television into a space of homecoming and shared joy — reviving the warmth of Indian traditions through engaging content, exciting contests, and interactive community initiatives.
The campaign promises an energetic mix of special festive episodes from marquee fiction shows and blockbuster premieres, along with two new launches — ‘Jagadhatri’, the story of a young woman invisible within her home but fierce as an undercover agent reclaiming her identity, and ‘Ideabaaz’, a non-fiction show that celebrates innovation and entrepreneurship in ‘Naya Bharat’. The lineup also features the much-awaited ‘Zee Rishton Ka Mela Diwali Special’, along with Maha Episodes that keep audiences connected to their favourite characters during the most meaningful time of the year.
Adding an interactive twist, Zee TV has introduced a first-of-its-kind on-air contest that transforms passive viewing into real-time participation. Viewers can tune in to their favourite shows, answer simple questions displayed on-screen, and win exciting prizes — ranging from SUV cars, two-wheelers, gold coins, televisions, mobile phones, and home appliances to exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities with Zee TV stars.
Taking the festivities nationwide, Zee TV is also conducting an extensive on-ground engagement across 70 cities, where its teams are meeting audiences, encouraging participation, and rewarding fans with gifts and experiences.
Bringing warmth and relatability to Apnotsav is comedian-actor Sunil Grover, who stars as Sonu from his Haryana village — a character symbolising nostalgia, belonging, and the emotional core of India’s festivals.
Speaking about the campaign, Mangesh Kulkarni, Chief Channel Officer, Zee TV, said,“At Zee TV, our storytelling has always celebrated relationships and togetherness that define Indian families. With Apnotsav, we’re extending that philosophy beyond the screen, creating a month-long celebration that brings viewers closer to their loved ones through drama, laughter, and shared joy. What makes this initiative truly special is its comprehensive nature, unfolding on-air, on-ground, and across digital media — ensuring that the emotion of apnapan resonates everywhere our audiences are.”
Kartik Mahadev, Chief Marketing Officer, Content SBU & Marketing, ZEE5, added, “Television remains India’s largest reach medium, shaping shared family moments daily. With Apnotsav, we’re combining the magic of storytelling with interactivity, connecting with audiences across screens and cities. Sunil Grover, as Sonu, beautifully captures the warmth and humour that make our festivals special. Through this initiative, we’re celebrating togetherness and rewarding our viewers’ enduring love for Zee TV.”
Reflecting on his role, Sunil Grover said, “No matter how far life takes you, there’s always a part of you that misses home. With Apnotsav, I wanted to reconnect with that feeling — the simplicity and joy of being with family. This campaign is a reminder that the true heart of every festival lies in being together with loved ones.”
With ‘Apnotsav’, Zee TV once again reinforces its legacy of curating destination festive events — not just entertaining audiences but turning India’s festivals into shared national moments of connection, warmth, and joy.
