Karnataka’s most trusted news channel, Zee Kannada News, is gearing up to host the grand Karnataka Idol Awards 2025, a celebration dedicated to recognising individuals who have brought unparalleled pride to the state through their achievements. The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, September 17, at 5pm at The Lalit Ashok Hotel in Bengaluru.
According to a Zee Kannada News press release, the initiative is aimed at acknowledging excellence across multiple spheres including business, sports, healthcare, agriculture, cinema, arts, social service, and politics. By honouring both stalwarts and contemporary achievers, the awards seek to inspire younger generations while reinforcing Karnataka’s rich legacy of resilience, progress, and cultural pride.
This year’s edition will pay a heartfelt tribute to leaders and icons who have significantly shaped the state’s identity. The Lifetime Achievement Award will be conferred upon Hon’ble Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Former Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, and Kannada’s much-loved ‘King of Romance’ Dr. Srinath. Former Indian hockey captain V.R. Raghunath and India’s first Paralympics silver medalist H.N. Girish will also be felicitated for their outstanding contributions and inspirational journeys.
Adding spiritual grace to the occasion will be the divine presence of Jagadguru Sri Vachanananda Mahaswamiji of Harihara’s Veerashaiva Lingayat Panchamasali Jagadguru Peetha. The ceremony will also witness the participation of senior political leaders including Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara, Transport and Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy, Agriculture Minister Cheluvarayaswamy, Women & Child Welfare Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, and several other respected dignitaries, making it a true confluence of Karnataka’s social, political, and cultural leadership.
The evening will further be elevated with the presence of distinguished personalities such as former ISRO Chairman A.S. Kiran Kumar, along with celebrated actors Anu Prabhakar, Vinay Rajkumar, Raana, and Advithi Shetty.
