The stage is set for one of India’s biggest esports showdowns as the OnePlus Android Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 4 Grand Finals begin today at the NODWIN Gaming Arena in Chhatarpur, New Delhi. Over the next three days, from September 12 to 14, the country’s top 16 teams will battle it out across 12 high-intensity matches for the prestigious BGMS championship title and a share of the massive Rs.1.5 crore prize pool.
Season 4 of BGMS has drawn remarkable brand support, led by OnePlus as the Title Sponsor and Official Smartphone Partner, and Android as the Co-Title Sponsor. TVS Motor Company continues its partnership for the third straight year, while Red Bull returns for a second. New partners include Duolingo English Test as the Official Learning Partner, Swiggy as the Official Food Delivery Partner, and Bisleri as the Official Hydration Partner. Adding a global touch, Tesla will showcase its Model Y car at the Grand Finals venue, the company said in a press release.
The 16 grand finalists comprise a mix of seasoned giants and rising challengers. The top four teams from the BGMS League Stage—iQOO REVENANT X SPARK, iQOO SOUL, OnePlus Gods Reign, and NoNx—have been joined by 12 squads that powered through the Semi-Finals, including fan favorites like Hero Xtreme Godlike, OnePlus K9 Esports, Versatile Esports, Medal Esports, Phoenix Esports, and Global Esports. Other finalists include Infinix True Rippers, iQOO ORANGUTAN, myG Los Hermanos, GENESIS Esports, NEBULA Esports, and Sinewy Esports.
Reflecting on the tournament’s journey, Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, said, “This year’s BGMS has been a landmark in our journey to redefine esports in India. The fact that teams from BGCS have earned their place in the Grand Finals is a testament to our vision of creating a clear pathway for young talent to transition from grassroots to the biggest stage. As we move into the Grand Finals, we look forward to witnessing the very best of what Indian esports has to offer.”
The road to the finals was marked by thrilling performances. In the Playoffs, Phoenix Esports led the scoreboard with 58 points, followed by Los Hermanos Esports (38), TWOB (33), and Nebula Esports (33). The Semi-Finals raised the stakes even higher, with GodLike Esports topping the table at 92 points. Strong performances from K9 Esports, Medal Esports, True Rippers, Phoenix Esports, Versatile Esports, Nebula Esports, and Sinewy Esports ensured their spots in the finale, highlighting the importance of the official feeder league, BGCS, in nurturing emerging talent.
Fans across the country can watch the BGMS Season 4 Grand Finals live from September 12 to 14, 5 pm to 8 pm, on Star Sports Khel and JioHotstar. With its primetime national broadcast, BGMS remains the only esports tournament in India to command such a presence on television.
