The channel marks a major milestone in Shemaroo’s broadcast journey, evolving from its earlier youth-focused brand ‘Chumbak TV’ into a full-fledged movie destination.
According to a press release, ‘Shemaroo Josh’ aims to capture the pulse of Indian audiences by entering the country’s most loved television genre — movies. The channel promises a line-up of high-energy blockbusters that will bring families together in front of the television, celebrating India’s unmatched love for cinema.
With a rich bouquet of titles spanning action, drama, romance and comedy, Shemaroo Josh will showcase a mix of classics and modern hits. Its library includes popular films such as ‘PK’, ‘Animal’, ‘Kantara’, ‘KGF’, ‘Bahubali’, ‘Waltair Veerayya’, ‘12th Fail’, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, among others.
