Bollywood actor Saiyami Kher has been roped in to star alongside Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in the upcoming film ‘Haiwaan’. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film has already gone on floors with shooting commencing on August 23.
According to a PTI report, the project marks a significant collaboration, bringing back Priyadarshan, who has helmed some of Bollywood’s most memorable comedies including ‘Hera Pheri’, ‘Hulchul’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ and ‘Hungama’. This new venture, however, is said to be mounted on a larger canvas, pairing high-voltage drama with star power.
The film also reunites Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan on screen after 17 long years. The duo last appeared together in ‘Tashan’, which released in 2008, and their reunion is already generating buzz among fans eager to watch the actors recreate their on-screen chemistry.
For Saiyami Kher, who has steadily carved her space in the industry with films like ‘Choked’ and ‘Ghoomer’, the opportunity to share the screen with Kumar and Khan in a Priyadarshan directorial is expected to be a career-defining moment. Industry insiders believe her casting adds freshness to the ensemble.
With the film now officially in production, ‘Haiwaan’ has quickly become one of the most talked-about upcoming releases, combining a celebrated filmmaker, two leading stars of the 1990s and 2000s, and a rising actor who represents the new wave of Bollywood talent.
