Audio entertainment platform Pocket FM has appointed Akansha Kumari as its new Head of Product, as it sharpens focus on building a scalable, user-first entertainment experience for its expanding global audience. The move comes as Pocket FM continues to grow its footprint across international markets, particularly in the US and Southeast Asia.
According to a report by The Economic Times yesterday, Akansha will lead the company’s product strategy and innovation across its core storytelling ecosystem, driving the development of tools and experiences that deepen listener engagement and content discovery. With a strong background in digital product management and consumer tech, she is expected to play a pivotal role in scaling Pocket FM’s offerings for both creators and consumers.
Before joining Pocket FM, Akansha held key positions at some of the leading digital firms. She has previously worked at Google, Flipkart and Microsoft, where she focused on building intuitive user experiences and launching high-impact products.
Pocket FM has emerged as one of the world’s leading audio series platforms, offering immersive fiction across genres such as romance, drama, thriller, and fantasy, the ET report added.
