Prime Video yesterday unveiled the first look of its upcoming period drama ‘The Revolutionaries’, directed by Nikkhil Advani and starring Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf and Pratibha Ranta.
Backed by Emmay Entertainment, the series is an adaptation of the book ‘Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom’, written by Sanjeev Sanyal. It also features Gurfateh Pirzada and Jason Shah, a PTI report from New Delhi stated. The series will premiere in 2026.
India’s rich history is filled with stories of courage, valour and sacrifice – many of which have been lost to time, said Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals, Prime Video India.
He added: “Sanjeev Sanyal’s remarkable book shines a light on a vital part of our freedom struggle, and we’re immensely proud to bring this story to life. With Nikkhil Advani’s vision and a talented cast, we are confident that ‘The Revolutionaries’ will resonate globally.”
According to director Nikkhil Advani, “For me, ‘The Revolutionaries’ is a deeply enriching and enlightening experience. Sanjeev Sanyal’s powerful book gives us a compelling foundation to tell the untold stories of extraordinary young patriots. With the support of Prime Video and an exceptional cast and crew, we aim to deliver an authentic and impactful narrative that honours this important chapter in India’s history.”
