Zee Telugu is all set to welcome a fresh wave of storytelling with its latest fiction drama, ‘Jayam’, premiering tonight at 8 pm. Promising a compelling blend of emotion, intrigue, and resilience, ‘Jayam’ marks the broadcaster’s newest attempt to engage audiences with potent narratives anchored in relatable human experiences.
This week’s press release confirms that Jayam will air from Monday to Saturday at 8 pm on Zee Telugu. Starring Sriram Venkat as Rudra Pratap, a former boxer grappling with trauma and regret, and Varshini Goud as Gangavathi (Ganga), an optimistic, underprivileged young woman fighting personal hardships, the series sets the stage for an intense, character-driven journey
The storyline weaves together a classic underdog romance with societal challenges: will Rudra and Ganga’s paths align to spark hope and healing, or will past wounds overshadow their chances at victory? Early feedback on promos suggests a gripping storyline that’s already generating buzz.
At the launch event held on July 11 at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad, the key cast and creative team, including Sriram Venkat, Varshini, the director, and Zee Telugu’s business head, addressed the media. Sriram clarified lingering criticism around his role, stating that his portrayal of Rudra, the boxing coach with a damaged past, offered a challenging yet rewarding departure from his previous work .
With the introduction of Jayam, Zee Telugu has also tweaked its programming schedule ‘Chamanthi’ now follows at 8:30 pm and ‘Jagadathri’ airs at 9 pm from today onwards.
