AAO NXT has acquired exclusive streaming rights for ‘Atithi’, an intense Odia-language crime thriller directed by Ajay Padhi.
The film promises to bring a fresh wave of regional storytelling to audiences in its fold, offering gripping narrative and edge-of-the-seat suspense in a genre that continues to gain popularity across Indian regional platforms.
As per an announcement, ‘Atithi’ delves into the darker alleys of crime, exploring intricate human motivations and moral dilemmas that confront its characters. Under Padhi’s direction, the thriller is being positioned as a standout addition to Odia content on digital platforms — at a time when regional series and films are commanding increased attention for their rooted storytelling and cinematic finesse.
AAO NXT website says it is Odisha’s first independent OTT platform aimed at showing web series, feature films and documentaries across a wide variety of genres, satiating the need of 50 million Odias across the globe.
With its exclusive streaming debut lined up on the Odia platform, the film is poised to enhance the streamer’s regional content slate and cater to viewers eager for high-quality regional thrillers. A launch date and episode details will be announced soon.
