Streaming platform JOJO is all set to tickle funny bones and thrill audiences with its upcoming Gujarati original series ‘Gadbad Gotalo’, premiering on the JOJO app on June 27, 2025. A detective comedy wrapped in suspense and soaked in small-town eccentricity, the five-episode series promises equal doses of laughter, chaos, and sharp storytelling.
As per a press note issued by the platform, JOJO described the show as a “comic thriller” that follows two endearing but utterly inexperienced detectives who think they’ve signed up for a cakewalk case — only to find themselves neck-deep in a wild kidnapping plot. Set in a village where nothing is as it seems, ‘Gadbad Gotalo’ unravels with bizarre characters, unexpected twists, and enough confusion to keep viewers glued to their screens.
The series stars Kushal Mistry and Parth Parmar as the bumbling sleuths who quickly realise that their biggest challenge isn’t solving the case, but making sense of the madness around them. Backed by a strong ensemble cast including Jatin Prajapati, Maulik Nayak, Vishal Pithadiya, Jay Wadhwani, Jiyansh Changela, Chetan Chhaya, Michelle Trivedi, Rajal Pujara, Urvi Vyas and Dhruvika Sai, the show is rooted in the flavour and flair of regional storytelling, bringing to life a zany but strangely relatable world.
Commenting on the launch, Dhruvin Shah, Founder and CEO of JOJO, said, “At JOJO, we’re always looking for stories that feel new but familiar — ones that bring people together, spark laughter, and leave a little something behind. Gadbad Gotalo does just that. It’s fun, fresh, and rooted in the kind of storytelling that Gujarati audiences have always loved. We’re proud to bring this JOJO Original to screens and can’t wait for viewers to experience the madness for themselves.”
‘Gadbad Gotalo’ blends fast-paced comedy with the warmth of Gujarati culture, layered with sly humour, local quirks, and a satirical edge. It’s the kind of show where every character has a backstory, every lie opens another door, and every moment is a delightful mess.
With original Gujarati content gaining popularity among digital viewers, this JOJO Original arrives at just the right moment — bringing something wildly entertaining to binge on. The series launches on June 27 exclusively on the JOJO app.
