Maheep, Raftaar, Mukesh, Ashish exit ‘The Traitors’ in week2

The game just got bloodier on ‘The Traitors’ as Week 2 on Prime Video saw four major players eliminated in dramatic fashion. Maheep Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, Mukesh Chhabra and Raftaar bid farewell to the palace, setting the tone for what’s shaping up to be a ruthless battle between strategy, suspicion, and survival.

According to a press note shared by Prime Video, the latest episodes have sent shockwaves across fans of the high-stakes reality series. While Maheep and Ashish were voted out in the dreaded Circle of Shaq, the Traitors dealt their next fatal blow by murdering casting director Mukesh Chhabra. The week ended with rapper Raftaar’s dramatic ouster following a meltdown from contestant Sufi Motiwala, further intensifying the atmosphere inside the game.

Reflecting on her time in the show, Maheep admitted the pressure was real. “We were mentally and physically very tired. It’s very easy to sit in your living room and switch on the TV and say, ‘You guys know who the Traitors are.’ We didn’t. It’s a mind game. It’s all psychological,” she said, underlining just how mentally taxing the show truly is.

Raftaar, on the other hand, exited with his trademark wit intact. “I am toh quite happy, matlab yeh pehla aisa show hai, jisme exit hona bhi ijjat vali baat hai — ‘Yeh toh bada smart tha, isko nikalna zaroori tha.’ That is the format of the show I like,” he shared.

For veteran actor Vidyarthi, the experience became a philosophical one. “Yeh ek game hai, lekin yeh real life ko mimic karta hai. Real life mein bhi hum sochte hain ki hum samajdaar hain, lekin humein khud nahi pata chalta kab hum bhed chaal ka hissa ban jaate hain. So it was a masterclass in life for me,” he noted.

Casting director Chhabra echoed similar sentiments, calling ‘The Traitors’ “a completely different kind of reality show.” He added, “Jiske saath baith kar main abhi khana kha raha hoon, woh hi agle pal meri opinion badal deta hai, sirf ek plate lene jaate hi. Har second log ek doosre ke baare mein apna opinion badal rahe hain, wahi toh is show ka asli khel hai.”

Produced by BBC Studios India Productions, Prime Video’s Indian adaptation of IDTV’s BAFTA and Emmy award-winning global format has grabbed audience attention with its suspense-filled plot, unpredictable eliminations and game theory-inspired twists. Episodes 1 to 6 of ‘The Traitors’ are now streaming on Prime Video, with new episodes premiering every Thursday at 8pm.
