Dish TV India has appointed Manoj Dobhal as the new Chairman of its Board, marking a key leadership move as the company looks to strengthen its position in the DTH and media distribution space.
The update was announced through a LinkedIn post by CXO Lanes, which also highlighted Dobhal’s deep industry experience and leadership journey. Dobhal currently serves as the Executive Director and CEO of Dish TV India, and his elevation to Chairman reflects the company’s continued trust in his vision and leadership.
With over 24 years of experience across sectors like FMCG, telecom, broadband, consumer durables, and media, Dobhal brings a wide range of expertise to the role. He has worked with several major companies including Tata Sky Ltd, Reliance Communications, IndiaCast Media Distribution, Dabur India Limited, DIAGEO India, and Vadilal Industries Limited.
In his previous roles, Dobhal held leadership positions such as Chief Operating Officer at Akash DTH (Beximco Communications) in Bangladesh and Senior Vice President & Head of Sales at Tata Sky Broadband. He is known for his strategic thinking, and for driving growth in customer experience, sales, and digital transformation.
Dobhal holds a B.Sc. in Electronics from Delhi University and an MBA in Marketing from the Apeejay Institute of Management. As he steps into the role of Chairman, he is expected to focus on taking Dish TV forward with innovation, improved customer engagement, and new-age digital solutions.
His appointment comes at a time when the media and broadcasting landscape is evolving rapidly, and Dish TV aims to remain competitive by adapting to the changing demands of the market and its viewers.
