Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has extended its successful partnership with Roland Garros, one of tennis’ most celebrated Grand Slam tournaments, ensuring uninterrupted clay-court action for Indian audiences through to 2027.
The renewed agreement grants SPNI exclusive television and digital rights to broadcast the iconic French Open across India and the Indian subcontinent.
The broadcaster made the announcement through an official press release, confirming that the renewed multi-year deal covers not only India but also neighbouring countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
The new agreement spans three more seasons—2025, 2026, and 2027—and promises fans comprehensive access to the Parisian Grand Slam on both linear TV and digital platforms under the Sony Sports Network umbrella.
Roland Garros, known for its storied history, elite competition, and grueling red-clay courts, has garnered a strong following among Indian sports enthusiasts. With this renewed partnership, SPNI reaffirms its commitment to bringing world-class sporting events to its viewers with top-notch coverage and immersive programming.
The move comes as part of SPNI’s broader strategy to strengthen its premium sports offerings, which include other major tennis Grand Slams and global sporting events.
The network has been the official broadcaster of Roland Garros for several years, delivering memorable moments and marquee matches to Indian screens. This extension will ensure tennis lovers continue to witness the high-octane rivalries and legendary performances live, including potential appearances by top-seeded global stars and emerging talents.
The collaboration between SPNI and Roland Garros underlines the growing popularity of tennis in the region and the demand for live, high-quality sports content. With the summer of 2025 set to bring the next edition of the French Open, viewers can once again look forward to the excitement and intensity that only the clay courts of Paris can deliver.
