Ana de Armas-starrer ‘Ballerina’, the much-awaited spin-off from the action-packed John Wick universe, is now set to release in Indian cinemas on June 13, a week later than its previously announced date.
The new release date was confirmed on Tuesday by PVRINOX Pictures, which is distributing the film in India.
According to a PTI report, ‘Ballerina’ will be available to audiences in four languages — English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu — expanding its reach beyond just fans of the original ‘John Wick’ franchise. The film, directed by Len Wiseman, is positioned in the ‘John Wick’ timeline between ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 –Parabellum’ (2019) and ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ (2023), adding new layers to the gritty underworld mythology.
The ‘John Wick’ franchise, known for its stylized action and intense choreography, stars Keanu Reeves in the lead role. ‘Ballerina’ explores a parallel storyline, with de Armas playing a young female assassin seeking revenge for her family’s murder, set against the backdrop of the same clandestine world of assassins.
