The beloved comedy franchise Dhamaal is officially making a grand comeback with its fourth installment, set for an Eid 2026 release.
The announcement was made via a press release on Friday, confirming that the fan-favourite cast of Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Jaaved Jaaferi will reprise their iconic roles.
Directed once again by Indra Kumar, ‘Dhamaal 4’ promises to be a rollercoaster of laughter, continuing the legacy of over-the-top humour and chaotic camaraderie that the franchise is known for.
The ensemble cast is further bolstered by the addition of comedy veterans and fresh faces, including Sanjay Mishra, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar, and Ravi Kishan.
The film is currently being shot in Mumbai after completing its first schedule in the scenic Malshej Ghat in Maharashtra’s Thane district.
The ‘Dhamaal’ series began in 2007 with the original film, followed by ‘Double Dhamaal’ in 2009 and ‘Total Dhamaal’ in 2019. While the earlier films have largely been driven by ensemble comedy and slapstick antics, ‘Dhamaal 4’ is expected to add a new flavour with a more diverse cast and fresh plotlines—without losing its core charm.
The film is being backed by a powerhouse production team: Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Indra Kumar, Anand Pandit, and Kumar Mangat Pathak.
Ajay Devgn, who joined the franchise with Total Dhamaal, is also donning the producer’s hat once again. Given the massive box office success of Total Dhamaal in 2019, which grossed over Rs.230 crore worldwide, industry watchers have high expectations from this new chapter.
With Eid traditionally being a blockbuster release window for Bollywood, the timing couldn’t be better for the film’s theatrical arrival. Fans of the franchise are eagerly awaiting the return of the madcap gang, who have delivered some of Hindi cinema’s most memorable comedy sequences over the past two decades.
More details about the storyline and character arcs are expected to be revealed as production progresses.
