Business Today has announced the distinguished jury panel for the inaugural edition of ‘BT India’s Most Sustainable Companies – Summit & Awards’, set to be held on June 6, 2025, in New Delhi. The platform aims to spotlight Indian companies making significant strides in sustainability through their measurable commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices.
As per a press release issued by Business Today, the jury meet is scheduled for May 16, 2025, where top industry leaders and ESG experts will gather to assess and shortlist the most impactful companies across sectors. The jury will be chaired by Rajnish Kumar, former Chairman of the State Bank of India, known for his leadership in finance and corporate governance.
Joining Kumar on the jury are prominent names from finance, regulatory bodies, academia and corporate advisory. These include Deepali Pant, former Executive Director of the Reserve Bank of India; Mehul Pandya, Managing Director and Group CEO of CareEdge Group; Vimal Bhandari, Chairman of the Board, HDFC Trustee Company Ltd; Kamran Khan, Managing Director and Head of ESG for Asia Pacific at Deutsche Bank Group; Srinath Sridharan, Corporate Advisor; and Dr K Ravichandran, Director of Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM).
The upcoming summit and awards ceremony will not only honour outstanding corporate efforts in sustainability but also encourage strategic dialogue on aligning business operations with climate and social goals. Shri Bhupender Yadav, Honourable Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, will be the Chief Guest at the event.
With sustainability rapidly emerging as a key business priority across the globe, the ‘BT India’s Most Sustainable Companies’ initiative aims to establish a benchmark for responsible corporate behaviour in India’s evolving business ecosystem.
