The Board of Directors at TV Today Network has announced the appointment and elevation of Gaurav Verma as the Chief Operating Officer — Aaj Tak, with effect from May 16, 2025. Alongside this key elevation, Verma has also been designated as one of the Senior Management Personnel of the company.
The update was shared through a regulatory filing submitted with the BSE under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. This move signals the network’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership across platforms and brands under the India Today Group umbrella.
Gaurav Verma currently serves as COO at Lallantop — another popular digital-first brand within TV Today Network — and brings with him over 25 years of leadership experience across some of India’s top media houses. His deep understanding of content, revenue strategies, and audience behavior has been instrumental in scaling platforms and building agile commercial teams.
Prior to his current role, Verma served as Chief Revenue Officer at both Times Network and Zee Media, where he played a significant role in expanding market reach and driving revenue growth. His earlier association with TV Today Network includes a tenure as Vice President – Sales, during which he led revenue strategy for core brands like Aaj Tak and Tez.
In addition to his extensive professional track record, Verma is a graduate in commerce from Delhi University and holds a Diploma in Sales & Marketing from NIS. He has also completed an Executive Excellence Program at the Indian School of Business (ISB), further reinforcing his strong foundation in business leadership and media strategy.
His appointment as COO comes at a crucial time, as Aaj Tak continues to adapt to the fast-evolving broadcast and digital media ecosystem. With Verma at the helm of operations, the brand is expected to deepen its market engagement and sharpen its focus on content innovation, monetization, and platform integration.
