Fans of the epic saga ‘Baahubali’ have a reason to celebrate once again. The makers have officially announced that the magnum opus, directed by S.S. Rajamouli, will be re-released in theatres this October, coinciding with the eighth anniversary of ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’.
According to a report by IANS, the announcement was made on April 27 through the official social media handles of the franchise. Sharing a special poster, the team expressed their excitement about bringing back the epic story to the big screen, giving both old fans and a new generation of moviegoers a chance to experience the grandeur and magic of ‘Baahubali’ once more.
“Celebrating 8 years of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion! Get ready to witness the epic saga once again on the big screens. Baahubali re-releasing this October,” read the post.
‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, released in 2015, and ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, which followed in 2017, became cultural phenomena not just in India but across the globe. The franchise, starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan, set new benchmarks for Indian cinema with its breath-taking visuals, powerful storytelling and massive box office success.
The re-release comes at a time when nostalgic viewership is growing, and theatres are finding success in bringing back classic blockbusters to the big screen. The makers are expected to enhance the cinematic experience with remastered visuals and sound, making it even more captivating for audiences.
