Acclaimed political journalist Neeraj Pandey has officially joined Zee News as Deputy Editor (Political Affairs), marking a significant addition to the network’s editorial leadership as it gears up for high-stakes coverage ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The appointment was announced through an official press note released by Zee News, which highlighted Pandey’s impressive track record in political journalism and his deep understanding of India’s dynamic electoral landscape. Known for his incisive reportage and ability to decode the pulse of Indian politics, Pandey brings with him nearly two decades of newsroom experience across national and regional media platforms.
Pandey’s move to Zee News comes shortly after his exit from ABP News, where he played a pivotal role in the channel’s political coverage since the 2019 general elections. During his tenure there, he emerged as a familiar face in pre-election debates, breaking exclusives from political corridors and tracking key developments across the Hindi heartland.
Originally from Prayagraj, Pandey began his journalism career with Hindustan, one of the leading Hindi dailies in the country, where he spent five years reporting on state and national issues. His career took a decisive turn at ETV News Network, where he climbed the ranks over another five-year period, eventually becoming National Bureau Head. From there, he helped shape Bharat Samachar’s editorial voice as its Political Editor for more than two years, before moving to ABP News.
At Zee News, Pandey is expected to spearhead high-impact political reporting, lead election coverage, and contribute to the channel’s editorial strategy on national affairs. His appointment signals the network’s intent to deepen its political analysis and strengthen its credibility in the Hindi news space during an election-heavy season.
