In a massive boost to the South Asian esports ecosystem, NODWIN Gaming and Riot Games have announced the return of the NODWIN VALORANT Challengers South Asia (VCSA) 2025, featuring a revamped format, a high-stakes Rs. 1.13 crore prize pool, and expanded opportunities for emerging talent.
Set to take place from March 4 to July 14, 2025, this edition promises an unparalleled competitive experience for VALORANT players and fans across the region.
According to a press release, with a restructured three-split format, the tournament will showcase the best teams from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, and the Maldives, pushing the limits of South Asian esports. Velocity Gaming (VLT) and Aura have already secured their spots through the highly competitive VCSA Qualifiers, proving their dominance on the battlefield. With registrations now closed, all eyes are set on the action-packed main event.
This year’s VCSA introduces a promotion and relegation system, ensuring a dynamic, high-stakes competition where fresh talent can break through and established teams must consistently prove their mettle. The revamped point system will play a decisive role in the latter stages, with points earned throughout the three splits determining the top four teams advancing to the Ascension Qualifiers. The ultimate champion will earn the prestigious opportunity to represent South Asia at VCT Ascension Pacific 2025, where they will battle against the finest teams from other Challenger tournaments across the Asia-Pacific region.
Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder & Managing Director, NODWIN Gaming, emphasized the tournament’s growing significance, “NODWIN VALORANT Challengers South Asia represents the pinnacle of competitive VALORANT esports in our region. With an exciting new three-split structure, promotion and relegation dynamics, and a prize pool of Rs. 1.13 crore, we aim to deliver an unforgettable season for players and fans alike. Together with Riot Games, we’re crafting a sustainable and adaptive roadmap for esports in South Asia. This year’s tournament will set the stage for fresh talent to shine and for fan favorites to prove their mettle, offering VALORANT fans an electrifying esports experience.”
Sukamal Pegu, Esports Lead, South Asia, Riot Games, reiterated the company’s long-term vision for South Asian esports,”The NODWIN VALORANT Challengers South Asia 2025 reflects Riot’s commitment to nurturing esports in this region. The 2024 edition of the tournament witnessed record-breaking engagement, with a staggering 88 lakh total viewers and an overall reach surpassing 1 crore across platforms. This year’s high-stakes battle is expected to push those numbers even higher, solidifying South Asia’s place on the global VALORANT stage.
The VCSA 2025 is an integral part of Riot Games’ ‘Road to Ascension’, paving the way for the champion team to compete at VCT Ascension Pacific 2025. The winning squad will go head-to-head with 10 elite VALORANT teams from regional Challenger Leagues across Asia-Pacific, vying for a coveted spot in the VCT Pacific, the premier professional VALORANT league in the region.
