Aaj Tak’s primetime news show ‘Black and White’, hosted by Sudhir Chaudhary, has cemented its dominance in the Hindi news genre, outperforming competitors across both television and digital platforms.
Quoting the latest data from BARC India and YouTube Live analytics, Aaj Tak yesterday said the show has emerged as one of the most-watched programmes in the coveted 9-10pm time slot.
As per BARC data for Week 05 of 2025, ‘Black and White’ recorded a Gross AMA (Average Minute Audience) of 9,746,000, placing it firmly ahead of its closest rival, News18 India, which garnered 9,355,000. Republic Bharat followed with 8,752,000, while Times Now Navbharat (6,534,000) and India TV (6,244,000) trailed further behind.
These numbers, the news network said in a statement, reinforces Aaj Tak’s dominance in the Hindi-speaking market (HSM) for viewers aged 15 and above, making ‘Black and White’ the leading choice in its time slot.
Beyond its television success, Black and White has also established a stronghold in the digital news space. On YouTube Live, between February 3 and 7, 2025, the show recorded an average concurrent viewership of 136,000, nearly double that of its closest competitor, India TV (68.1K).
