Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. has announced that Li Haslett Chen will step down from its Board of Directors on January 31, 2025. Chen, who has been a board member since April 2022, has significantly contributed to the company’s strategic direction during her tenure.
Chen brought expertise in direct-to-consumer strategies, multi-platform development, and technological innovation, playing a crucial role in shaping the company’s approach to global audience engagement.
Chen, the Founder and CEO of retail media and social commerce leader Howl, expressed her decision to focus on her company’s growth as it enters an important new phase in 2025.
“In the past year, Howl has pioneered strategic partnerships and launched an innovative platform. As Howl embarks on a major growth phase, I have decided to dedicate my full attention to the company. It has been an honor to serve on Warner Bros. Discovery’s Board,” Chen stated.
Samuel A. Di Piazza, Jr., Chair of the Board, praised Chen’s contributions, “Li has been an exceptionally engaged and dedicated member, bringing valuable insights and deep technology expertise. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.”
Chen’s departure marks a pivotal moment as Warner Bros. Discovery continues to adapt its strategies in a rapidly evolving entertainment industry.
