Zee Tamil is gearing up to make Pongal 2025 a grand celebration with an exceptional array of special programs and blockbuster premieres. From January 12 to January 15, the channel promises an immersive viewing experience that encapsulates the festive spirit and brings Tamil audiences together under its tagline, ‘Manadhal Inaivom, Maatrathai Varaverpom’ (Bridging hearts and welcoming change).
The festivities commence on Sunday, January 12, with the television premiere of 2024’s highest-grossing Tamil film, ‘GOAT’, featuring superstar Ilayathalapathy Vijay in a dual role. Directed by Venkat Prabhu and showcasing a stellar cast including Prashanth, Sneha, and Prabhu Deva, the action-packed entertainer will air at 6:30 pm, setting the tone for Pongal celebrations. Packed with gripping drama, stunning visuals, and Vijay’s unmatched charisma, ‘GOAT’ is expected to enthrall television audiences nationwide.
On Pongal Day, Zee Tamil kicks off the celebrations with the much-loved ‘Pattimandram’ at 9:00 am, moderated by ‘Kalaimamani Suki Sivam’. This special debate show celebrates Tamil culture and traditions, engaging viewers with thought-provoking discussions.
The day continues with ‘Rathnam’, an action-packed thriller airing at 10:30 am, followed by a festive special of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’ S4 at 1:30 pm. The young singing prodigies will take center stage, delivering melodious performances that capture the essence of Pongal.
At 3:30 pm, audiences can enjoy Brother, a touching family drama starring Jayam Ravi. The day concludes with a second telecast of ‘GOAT’ from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm, giving viewers another opportunity to enjoy this blockbuster.
On ‘Mattu Pongal Day’, the channel resumes the festive fervor with another edition of ‘Pattimandram’ at 9:00 am. This is followed by the Tamil premiere of ‘Acharya’ at 10:30 am, starring Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan in a gripping tale of social reform.
A unique addition to the lineup is the game show ‘Adayalam’ at 1:30 pm, which challenges contestants to uncover hidden identities in an engaging and suspenseful format. The celebrations culminate with the horror thriller ‘Demonty Colony Part 2’ at 3:30 pm, a chilling sequel guaranteed to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
