Indian filmmakers Hansal Mehta, Kiran Rao, and actor Anil Kapoor extended their congratulations to director Payal Kapadia after her feature debut, ‘All We Imagine As Light’, earned two nominations at the Golden Globe Awards 2025, PTI reported.

Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language
Best Direction – Motion Picture
Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine As Light has already carved a niche for itself by becoming the first Indian film to win the Grand Prix Award at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2024. These Golden Globe nominations mark another historic moment, further solidifying India’s presence on the global cinema stage.
The nominations have been met with widespread acclaim, with Hansal Mehta describing it as a “proud moment for Indian cinema.” Kiran Rao emphasized the film’s artistic brilliance, calling it “a poignant narrative that resonates universally.”
