Hollywood actress Anna Kendrick’s highly anticipated directorial debut, ‘Woman of the Hour’, is set to stream in India on Lionsgate Play starting November 29.
The crime thriller is based on the chilling true story of serial killer Rodney Alcala and his infamous appearance on the television show ‘The Dating Game’ in 1978. Kendrick not only directs but also stars in the film as Sheryl Bradshaw, an aspiring actress who appears on the show in search of love.
However, her path takes a horrifying turn when she encounters Rodney Alcala (played by Daniel Zovatto), a charming yet notorious serial killer, and her quest for romance quickly spirals into a nightmare.
The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2023 and also features a talented supporting cast including Nicolette Robinson and Tony Hale.
This gripping psychological thriller promises to be a must-watch for true crime enthusiasts and fans of Kendrick’s work.
