NDTV announced its Q2 FY25 results, reporting a revenue of INR 112 crore, marking a 13.1 percent growth compared to INR 99 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations rose 16.2 percent year-over-year to reach INR 111.3 crore, driven by a strategic push in content, a diversified portfolio of intellectual properties, and an enhanced digital focus.
For the quarter ending September 30, 2024, NDTV allocated INR 44.8 crore towards marketing, distribution, and promotion—up by 6.2 percent from the previous quarter and significantly higher than INR 20.8 crore from the same period last year, reflecting the company’s increased investment in audience engagement and reach.
Digital growth played a key role in NDTV’s performance. The network reported a 24 percent traffic increase on its Hindi platform and a notable 41 percent surge on its English platform in August 2024 compared to August 2023. Additionally, NDTV’s English YouTube channel secured the top spot in viewership within the English news category in September, strengthening its digital news leadership.
In a notable development, NDTV hosted the NDTV World Summit, a two-day event featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inaugural address. During the summit, PM Modi launched NDTV World, a new global news channel, marking NDTV’s ambitious expansion into the international news space.
