The anticipation for Rohit Shetty’s action-packed film ‘Singham Again’ has reached new heights with the release of its gripping trailer. Launched on Monday, the trailer presents a fresh take on the timeless epic Ramayana, infusing it with contemporary elements while maintaining its core essence.
Running over four minutes, the trailer opens with Kareena Kapoor Khan’s character introducing the story, stating, “Kal humaare Ram-Leela main Ram ji 14 saal ke vanvaas ke liye niklengay.” This line sets the stage for a narrative that intertwines classic mythology with modern-day themes, IANS reported.
The plot thickens when Kareena’s character’s son poses a poignant question: if she were to be kidnapped by a figure reminiscent of Ravana, would her husband, DCP Bajirao Singham (played by Ajay Devgn), come to her rescue? This prompts a dramatic portrayal of Singham transforming into a modern-day Lord Rama, determined to save his wife, Avni, after she is abducted by Arjun Kapoor’s character, who embodies the traits of Ravana. Arjun’s line, “Teri Ramayana ka Raavan hun main,” encapsulates the film’s clash of good versus evil.
The stakes escalate as Singham rallies his own formidable army to rescue Avni, featuring characters portrayed by Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, and Akshay Kumar. Each character brings elements of beloved figures from the Ramayana, with Tiger embodying Lakshmana, Ranveer as Hanuman, and Akshay portraying Jatayu.
Ajay Devgn delivers a spine-chilling line: “Agar Avni ke liye nahi aaya na main toh Singham asli Maratha nahi,” signaling the film’s intense emotional core and action-packed sequences.
The trailer for Singham Again promises an exhilarating blend of action, drama, and mythological references, appealing to both fans of the franchise and newcomers alike. As the film gears up for its release, audiences can expect a unique cinematic experience that reverberates with cultural significance while delivering the high-octane entertainment that Rohit Shetty is renowned for.
